在安排美語班發表會要用的曲目時，無意中想起這首『美國鼠譚』（An American）的主題曲。它是史蒂芬史匹柏首次監製的卡通長片，描述小老鼠菲爾跟家人從蘇聯移民到美國時，不小心失散，為了找尋家人，牠四處闖蕩，克服重重困難，最後終於如願和家人相聚。這首歌就是菲爾和姐姐在夜晚思念彼此時所唱的，歌詞簡單卻溫暖，沒看過卡通的我，光聽曲子就被深深感動了。可惜班上的小男生還沒開竅，竟然嫌演唱者（片尾曲版）中的男聲「怪」，還直說這首歌難聽，死都不唱，真是太讓老師我傷心了！



同樣一首歌，由天真稚嫩的童音唱出來，又有不同的味道。這個版本很療癒系，心情不好時，聽了會開心起來喔！



這是美國某兒童歌手選秀節目（？）中，某個四歲參賽者唱的版本。這位可愛的小妹打一歲多就開始唱歌了，而且藝高人膽大，即使面對滿坑滿谷的人也毫不怯場，唱得有板有眼，高音還有給它飆上去，看現場所有叔叔伯伯阿姨姐姐們清一色讚嘆亢奮到恨不得衝上去抱住她的模樣，就知道她有多討人喜歡了！

在其他網站看了一些譯文，都覺得不盡完美，有的錯誤百出，有的失了意境，因此就自己試翻了一個版本。若有翻錯或翻不好的地方，還請幫忙指正喔～
